Zoe Harris Frostburg State Women's Track & Field Junior Frostburg State junior Zoe Harris received CAC Field Athlete of the Week accolades after posting the ninth-best javelin throw in the nation at the UMW Invitational. Harris recorded a mark of 37.13 meters in the javelin en route to a first-place finish, besting the second-place competitor by nearly five meters. Her javelin throw is tops in the CAC and ninth in Division III so far this spring. She also captured sixth in the shot put at 9.72 meters. Read More

Alison Schwartz Salisbury Women's Track & Field Junior Salisbury junior Alison Schwartz was honored as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after breaking the school record in the 10,000 meters at the 49er Classic at UNC Charlotte. Schwartz's time of 38:29.99 broke the SU school record set in 1997 by Vicki Huchko, who posted a time of 38:44.5. She finished fourth in the event, and also finished just two places back of former Olympic runner and two-time gold medal winner at the World Cross Country Championships Zola Budd Pieterse, who is now a coach at Coastal Carolina. Logan Harrington Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newprot senior Logan Harrington was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this year after breaking her own CAC indoor record in the mile and posting a victory and the sixth-fastest time nationally in the 800 meters in back-to-back weeks. At the George Mason Last Chance Meet, Harrington won the 800 at 2:13.23, topping a field that included five Division I competitors with her top clocking of the year. One week later, she established a new CAC record in the mile at the Tufts Final Qualifier. She posted a time of 5:01.24, which broke her own CAC record of 5:05.67. It also ranks as the second-fastest clocking in CNU history and the 26th-best mark in the NCAA this year. Read More

Hannah Shoemaker Christopher Newport Track & Field Junior Christopher Newport junior Hannah Shoemaker earned CAC Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after posting the top shot put mark in the CAC and 20th in the nation at the Roanoke Final Qualifier. Shoemaker posted a 13.57-meter effort at Roanoke, marking the longest throw in the CAC by over a foot and 20th nationally. Additionally, it also stands as the third-longest heave in CNU history and the top mark in the South / Southeast Region this year. Read More

Hannah Bowden Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Sophomore Christopher Newport sophomore Hannah Bowden received CAC Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this year after registering a CAC-best mark in the long jump at the Vince Brown Invitational on Saturday at the Freeman Center. Bowden posted a mark of 5.32 meters, placing her sixth overall and first among Division III competitors. So far this year, it ranks first in the CAC by six inches, second in the South / Southeast Region and 46th nationally. Additionally, she finished seventh overall - and second among Division III runners - in the 60-hurdles while posting a season-best time of 9.16. That also ranks third in the CAC this year. Read More

Logan Harrington Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newprot senior Logan Harrington was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after registering the CAC's top time in the 800 meters this year with a time of 2:16.98 at the Vince Brown Invitational on Saturday at the Freeman Center. That clocking is over eight seconds faster than the next closest in the CAC this season and ranks 13th in the NCAA. With that performance, she finished second overall and first among collegiate competitors. Read More

Meghan McGowan Salisbury Women's Track & Field Senior Salisbury senior Meghan McGowan was chosen as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after breaking her own school and conference record in the high jump at the Patriot Games hosted by George Mason. McGowan posted a height of 1.72 meters (5'-7.75") to earn first place, besting her previous record mark of 1.69 meters (5'-6.5"). Her height currently ranks third in Division III. Read More

Williams finished third in the event and tops among Division III competitors with a time of 9.06 seconds. Her time ranks atop the CAC this season. Read More

Briana Sutton Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Briana Sutton was honored as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after taking over the top spot in the nation in the pentathlon at the Captains Invitational on Friday. Sutton registered a score of 3,301, becoming the first Division III athlete to top 3,300 points this season. Her finest effort came in the high jump when she matched her personal record with a height of 1.57 meters. She also notched the top effort in the shot put (11.22 meters) and 800 (2:33.14) during the pentathlon. Guided by those efforts, she won the pentathlon - topping a field that included seven Division I competitors. On Saturday, she returned to the track to post a season-best distance in the shot put with an 11.32-meter toss. That distance currently ranks fifth in the South / Southeast Region. Read More

Kayla Truesdel Frostburg State Women's Track & Field Junior Frostburg State junior Kayla Truesdel was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the third straight week after hitting two more ECAC Championship qualifying marks at Susquehanna's Orange & Maroon Classic. Truesdel has now hit two ECAC marks in all three meets this season. She finished first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.85 and also crossed first in the 200-meter dash at 26.31. Hannah Bowden Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Sophomore Christopher Newport sophomore Hannah Bowden was named the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after posting the top mark in the long jump in the CAC this year at the CNU Quadrangular on Friday. Bowden registered a distance of 5.19 meters, the top mark in the conference by over a foot and a half and the 40th-best mark in the nation. She also posted a victory in the 60-hurdles at 9.40 and finished seventh in the high jump with a 1.40-meter clearance. Read More

Kayla Truesdel Frostburg State Women's Track & Field Junior Frostburg State junior Kayla Truesdel was selected as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second straight time after winning the 200-meter dash at the West Virginia Open. Truesdel raced to a time of 26.37 in the 200 and also placed third in the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:20.66. Both times were good enough to qualify her in those events for the 2017 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. Read More

Hannah Shoemaker Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Junior Christopher Newport junior Hannah Shoemaker was selected as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after posting the top Division III finish in a pair of throwing events at the CNU Holiday Open on Sunday. Shoemaker registered a 12.53-meter throw in the shot put and a 13.16-meter heave in the weight throw, both top-10 all-time marks in program history. Her shot put mark ranks 12th nationally. Read More

Kayla Truesdel Frostburg State Women's Track & Field Junior Frostburg State junior Kayla Truesdel was honored as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 60 and 200-meter dashes at the Marty Pushkin Classic hosted by West Virginia. Both of Truesdel's winning times rank third nationally. She crossed in 7.88 in the 60 and 26.22 in the 200, both ECAC Indoor qualifying times.
