Kyleigh Dumas Salisbury Women's Track & Field Sophomore Salisbury sophomore Kyleigh Dumas was honored as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after winning the pole vault and establishing a new school record at the Eastern Shore Invitational. Dumas posted a mark of 11'-3.75" in the pole vault, besting the previous record held by Sarah Taylor of 11'-1.75". Dumas leads the CAC in the event and ranks 34th nationally. Read More

During the meet, she registered a 12.41-meter effort in the shot, which ranks over a foot better than any other competitor in the CAC has recorded this year. Shoemaker unleashed a 12.80-meter toss, marking the longest throw in the conference by over two feet this season and the 22nd-best nationally. Briana Sutton Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Briana Sutton earned CAC Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this year after climbing up the national charts in a pair of events while setting two school records at the Captains Classic & Combined Events over the weekend at POMOCO Stadium. Taking part in the heptathlon for the first time this season, she registered a score of 4,733 - topping the previous school standard of 4,509 established by former All-American Enuma Ezenwa in 2015. It also marks the second-highest score in the NCAA this year, falling just 66 points shy of the national leader. Additionally, Sutton broke the program record in the javelin with a 40.11-meter throw on Saturday. That tacked on nearly five feet to her own previous record of 38.62. It also stands as the 17th-finest throw in the country this year and the best effort in the CAC by over nine feet. Read More

Kayla Truesdel Frostburg State Women's Track & Field Junior Frostburg State junior Kayla Truesdel secured CAC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the fourth time this year after recording career-best and CAC-leading times in the 100 and 200 meter dashes at the Johns Hopkins Invitational last weekend. Truesdel won the 200-meter dash with a career-best time of 25.13, which ranks atop the CAC and 16th in the nation. Brown notched a mark of 4.93 meters in the long jump, giving her the top finish among DIII participants. Logan Harrington Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Logan Harrington earned the CAC Track Athlete of the Week accolades for the third time this year after recording the third-fastest time in the nation in the 1500 last Friday at the Colonial Relays. Harrington clocked in at 4:36.08, which placed her first among Division III competitors at the meet. It is also the top time in the CAC by more than seven seconds. Jess Delviscio York Women's Track & Field Sophomore York sophomore Jess Delviscio received the CAC Track Athlete of the Week accolades after breaking a school record in the 1500 meters at the Jim Taylor Invitational at Susquehanna. Delviscio crossed in 4:43.55, breaking the York school record by over eight seconds. Delviscio's time is the best in the CAC this season by over 16 seconds and is currently the 11th best time in the country. She placed second among a group of 50 competitors that included many from Division I schools, and finished behind only a DI runner from Bucknell. Read More

Briana Sutton Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Briana Sutton was named the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after winning three events and establishing a new school record at the Commonwealth Duals on Saturday at POMOCO Stadium. Her school-record mark of 38.62 meters in the javelin highlighted her performance. That throw broke the previous CNU school record of 38.30 set by Anette Glasser in 1999. Her throw also ranks first in the CAC by over four feet this year and stands 16th in the NCAA. Additionally, Sutton won the high jump with a 1.58-meter performance. That ranks first in the CAC and 20th in the country so far this year. She also won the long jump with a 5.21-meter leap, which ranks second in the conference this year. Read More

Zoe Harris Frostburg State Women's Track & Field Junior Frostburg State junior Zoe Harris received CAC Field Athlete of the Week accolades after posting the ninth-best javelin throw in the nation at the UMW Invitational. Harris recorded a mark of 37.13 meters in the javelin en route to a first-place finish, besting the second-place competitor by nearly five meters. Her javelin throw is tops in the CAC and ninth in Division III so far this spring. She also captured sixth in the shot put at 9.72 meters. Read More

Alison Schwartz Salisbury Women's Track & Field Junior Salisbury junior Alison Schwartz was honored as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after breaking the school record in the 10,000 meters at the 49er Classic at UNC Charlotte. Schwartz's time of 38:29.99 broke the SU school record set in 1997 by Vicki Huchko, who posted a time of 38:44.5. She finished fourth in the event, and also finished just two places back of former Olympic runner and two-time gold medal winner at the World Cross Country Championships Zola Budd Pieterse, who is now a coach at Coastal Carolina. Logan Harrington Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newprot senior Logan Harrington was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this year after breaking her own CAC indoor record in the mile and posting a victory and the sixth-fastest time nationally in the 800 meters in back-to-back weeks. At the George Mason Last Chance Meet, Harrington won the 800 at 2:13.23, topping a field that included five Division I competitors with her top clocking of the year. One week later, she established a new CAC record in the mile at the Tufts Final Qualifier. She posted a time of 5:01.24, which broke her own CAC record of 5:05.67. It also ranks as the second-fastest clocking in CNU history and the 26th-best mark in the NCAA this year. Read More

Shoemaker posted a 13.57-meter effort at Roanoke, marking the longest throw in the CAC by over a foot and 20th nationally. Bowden posted a mark of 5.32 meters, placing her sixth overall and first among Division III competitors. So far this year, it ranks first in the CAC by six inches, second in the South / Southeast Region and 46th nationally. Additionally, she finished seventh overall - and second among Division III runners - in the 60-hurdles while posting a season-best time of 9.16. That also ranks third in the CAC this year. Read More

That clocking is over eight seconds faster than the next closest in the CAC this season and ranks 13th in the NCAA. Briana Sutton Christopher Newport Women's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Briana Sutton was honored as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after taking over the top spot in the nation in the pentathlon at the Captains Invitational on Friday. Sutton registered a score of 3,301, becoming the first Division III athlete to top 3,300 points this season. Her finest effort came in the high jump when she matched her personal record with a height of 1.57 meters. She also notched the top effort in the shot put (11.22 meters) and 800 (2:33.14) during the pentathlon. Guided by those efforts, she won the pentathlon - topping a field that included seven Division I competitors. On Saturday, she returned to the track to post a season-best distance in the shot put with an 11.32-meter toss. That distance currently ranks fifth in the South / Southeast Region. Read More

Truesdel has now hit two ECAC marks in all three meets this season. She finished first in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.85 and also crossed first in the 200-meter dash at 26.31. Bowden registered a distance of 5.19 meters, the top mark in the conference by over a foot and a half and the 40th-best mark in the nation.
