York's Megan Verde Selected As CAC Women's Track & Field Athlete Of The Week
York sophomore MEGAN VERDE (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) was named the CAC Women’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week after leading the Spartans in their own invitational to open the outdoor season. Competing in the six-team event, Verde took top honors in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.37 meters despite the rainy, slippery, windy conditions, and followed up with a 4.13-meter effort to finish second in the long jump.

Hood's Jessica Parrish And Salisbury's Chelsea Tavik Share CAC Women's Track & Field Weekly Award
Hood senior JESSICA PARRISH (Baltimore, Md.) and Salisbury freshman CHELSEA TAVIK (Glen Burnie, Md.), both graduates of Seton Keough, were named the CAC Women’s Track & Field Co-Athletes of the Week for their gold medal performances at the season-opening Salisbury Open Saturday.

CAC Teams Cancel Events As Snowstorm Approaches The Baltimore/Washington Region
Apparently, Punxsutawney Phil was correct earlier this week when he predicted six more weeks of winter. As the snowstorm predicted to hit the Middle Atlantic region this weekend approaches, most CAC athletic events have been postponed.
