INTRODUCING ... Salisbury Senior Track & Field Champion Jenn Bulger

The Capital Athletic Conference INTRODUCING ... feature turns to track & field this week, where Salisbury senior Jenn Bulger is the defending conference champion in the high jump and a scorer at the championship meet in the long jump and sprint hurdles.

What is your background in the sport you play? I have participated in some type of running activity since I was in elementary school. In high school I competed in all 3 seasons of cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field all 4 years.

What is your favorite spot on campus?  My favorite spot on campus is in the library on the 2nd floor in one of the back corners where I can do my work with no one around to distract

Other than your team, what organization (s) do you participate in? I am in the physical education honor society where we do volunteer work for the community because that is my future profession and I like to be involved.

What is your major in college, and what is the most important thing you learned in that discipline? My major is physical education and one thing I have learned is that you have to take time to learn why a student isn't participating or why a student is acting out because the solution could be very simple.

Other than your family members, who was the most influential person in your life?  My grandmother because she was always there for me and supported me
through everything that I ever did in my life.

If you could give one piece of advice to elementary school children, what would that advice be?  Don't be afraid to ask questions! You learn by asking questions.

What is your favorite form of entertainment?  Music is my favorite form of entertainment because it allows me to relax and slow life down and take things one at a time.

Outside of the Capital Athletic Conference, who or what is your favorite sports person or team?  I am a fan of Amy Acuff because every time I have seen her compete she is so full of life and excited about competing.

Name three (3) people, real or fictional, living or dead, that you'd like to have dinner withHugh Grant because he is my favorite actor and I think he is very funny.  Elliott Smith because he was a great singer and songwriter and I would like to figure out what happened towards the end of his life and hear him make more music.  Jonathon Safran Foer because I absolutely love his books, especially "Extremely loud and incredibly close."
