Mary Washington Women's Tennis Falls To Williams In NCAA Elite Eight, Ends Season With 23-4 Record

The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team fell to
third ranked Williams College, 5-0, on Tuesday in the NCAA
Quarterfinals at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter,
Minnesota. The Eagles end the year with a record of 23-4.
The Eagles fell behind early, dropping all three doubles matches.
Natalia Fugate and Becky Morse-Karzen fell at one, 8-5; Megan
Lawlor and Kate Malpeli fell at two, 8-6, and Stephanie Kurti and
Courtney Goimarac fell at three, 8-3.
Needing just two singles wins to clinch the match, Williams won at
three and four singles to decide the outcome.
Morse-Karzen will compete in the national singles flight, and will
team with Fugate in the national doubles draw starting on Friday.
