Mary Washington shut out Hood Sunday, 9-0, to clinch the top seed in the 2008 CAC Women's Tennis Championship Tournament, which begins Monday.

The four-time defending champion Eagles (18-3, 5-0) earns the only bye in the seven-team championship tournament.

Second-seeded Salisbury (14-4, 5-1) will face seventh-seeded Wesley (2-7, 0-6), third-seeded St. Mary's (6-6, 4-1) will host sixth-seeded Villa Julie (1-6, 1-5 CAC) while fourth-seeded York (6-7, 3-3) will play at home against fifth-seeded Hood (5-5, 2-4) in Monday's first-round competition.
