YORK, Pa. - Frostburg State junior Macey Nitchie, Mary Washington freshman Julia Geskey, and York head coach Greg Doyle received top honors to headline the 2017 All-CAC Women's Swimming team.

Nitchie became the first female swimmer in Frostburg State history to claim Athlete of the Year recognition at the 2017 CAC Championship meet. Nitchie earned a trio of All-CAC first team awards, winning the sprint freestyle events with golds in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles.

Mary Washington, which secured its 27th consecutive CAC crown, dominated the All-CAC team with 20 All-CAC nods of the 38 available spots. UMW's Geskey captured Rookie of the Year accolades, becoming the 15th Eagle to receive ROTY. Geskey won the 100 backstroke, took second in the 200 backstroke and 400 IM, and contributed to three relay golds.

Senior Anna Corley, who won Athlete of the Year honors at the 2016 meet, wrapped up her final championship with seven total golds. Individually, Corley swept the individual medley events with All-CAC first team performances in the 100 IM, 200 IM, and 400 IM. She was also a key part of four winning relays for the Eagles. For her career, Corley collected 21 total All-CAC honors including 18 golds and three silvers.

UMW junior Maddy Rymer was a first-team honoree in the 200 backstroke and 200 medley relay, and also took home second team honors in the 100 backstroke. Freshmen Sara Dye and Carley Vaughn were first-team all-stars in the 100 breaststroke and 200 butterfly, respectively, and were also each a part of one winning relay.

Coryell contributed to four winning relays and took silver in the 50 and 100 freestyles. Wood was a part of three gold-medal relays, while Miller earned gold in one relay event. Murphy earned four All-CAC nods, collecting a pair of relay wins and second-place marks in the 1,650 freestyle and 200 butterfly.

York's Doyle was selected as Coach of the Year by his peers, becoming the second Spartans' women's coach to nab the honor. Doyle is in his second year as the Spartans' boss, and this was his first COTY accolade.

Maddy Mann, the 2016 Rookie of the Year, put together a stellar meet for York with two All-CAC first team performances and four second team awards. Spaulding was a part of all three relays, Sturgis and Werner were on two relays, and Trudel and Kobus contributed to one second-team placing.
