Hope Knussman Salisbury Women's Soccer Senior Salisbury senior Hope Knussman received CAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying 11 saves in two shutout victories last week. Her 10-save performance on Saturday was a big factor in Salisbury advancing to the CAC semifinals, despite being out-shot by Penn State Harrisburg, 18-14. Eight of Knussman's nine wins on the season have been by shutout. This marks the third weekly award for Knussman this season. Read More

Sydney Larkin St. Mary's Women's Soccer Senior St. Mary's senior Sydney Larkin earned CAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week accolades after posting two shutouts in leading the Seahawks to a 2-0 week and a spot in the semifinals of the CAC Tournament. Larkin started the week with eight saves in a 2-0 win over York, helping the Seahawks clinch a playoff berth. She followed that up with two stops in eliminating Mary Washington and advancing St. Mary's to the semifinals for the third straight season. Following her performance this past week, Larkin is now second all-time at St. Mary's with 24 wins and third in program history with 17 shutouts. Read More

Ruthie Lucas Salisbury Women's Soccer Senior Salisbury senior Ruthie Lucas was tabbed as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this year after recording three goals and an assist in a pair of wins for the Sea Gulls last week. Lucas notched two goals and an assist in the regulation season finale against Wesley on Wednesday, then followed it up with another goal in the CAC Tournament first-round win against Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday. Brooke Shehade Frostburg State Women's Soccer Sophomore Frostburg State sophomore Brooke Shehade was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after scoring all three of the Bobcats' goals in a 2-0 week. She began the week with two scores in the final 10 minutes of regulation in a 2-0 victory over Penn State Harrisburg. Shehade closed out the week with the game's only goal in the 49th minute of a 1-0 triumph against Salisbury. Shehade and the Bobcats have now won four straight, during which she has found the net six times. Read More

Jess Wieber York Women's Soccer Freshman York freshman Jess Weiber was honored as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after pitching a pair of shutouts last week to help the Spartans remain in the hunt for a CAC playoff spot. On Wednesday, Wieber blanked Wesley as she notched two saves in the win over the Wolverines. She followed that with one save in the 2-0 win over Southern Virginia on Saturday. Wieber finished the week with two shutouts in 180 minutes of action. For the season, Wieber has played 1168:38 minutes and owns a goals against average of 1.31 with a .782 save percentage. She has recorded 61 saves and has posted three shutouts for the year. Read More

Knussman notched one save in a 5-0 win over Marymount and provided three timely saves in a 1-0 win over York. Knussman has not given up a goal since Sept. 24, marking 405 consecutive shutout minutes. Carly Maglio Christopher Newport Women's Soccer Senior Christopher Newport senior Carly Maglio was selected as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this year after totaling four saves and picking up two shutouts in conference play over St. Mary's and Penn State Harrisburg. Cook registered the game-winning goal and notched an assist in a 4-0 win over Frostburg State last Wednesday. Stark opened the week with her first career hat trick in a 6-1 victory over Lycoming, registering all three goals in the opening 45 minutes of play. She followed that performance by recording the game-winning goal in the Lions' 3-0 victory over Southern Virginia in CAC action. Stark leads the CAC with 10 goals this season. Read More

Carly Maglio Christopher Newport Women's Soccer Senior Christopher Newport senior Carly Maglio was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this year after picking up two wins in 170:49 of shutout goalkeeping last week. Maglio played all but 9:11 of two Captains' wins, including a complete-game shutout against York in the CAC opener. She made four saves on the week and notched her 20th career shutout, becoming just the third CNU women's goalkeeper to do so. She also earned her 40th career victory, becoming just the second CNU goalkeeper, men's or women's, to reach that mark. Read More

Carson Pokorny Christopher Newport Women's Soccer Sophomore Christopher Newport sophomore Carson Pokorny received CAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after totaling three goals and one assist in wins over Emory and Berry last week. Pokorny scored the game-winning goal in overtime against nationally-ranked Emory and also scored twice and had an assist to take part in all three goals against Berry. She factored into four of CNU's five goals this week as she helped the Captains remain unbeaten on the year (6-0-1). Read More

She helped secure a shutout against Berry, allowing the Vikings to take just three total shots in the contest. Pratt also scored the game's first goal in the Captains' win over Emory. Read More

Gillis scored twice and added an assist for the unbeaten Captains. She opened the week with CNU's first goal on a penalty kick in a come-from-behind 2-2 tie vs. Virginia Wesleyan. Gillis followed that up with the Captains' second goal in a 5-2 victory over Cal Lutheran, before assisting on Riley Cook's insurance goal in a 3-1 triumph over Methodist. Read More

Krista Salvadore Wesley Women's Soccer Freshman Wesley freshman Krista Salvadore secured CAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after making 17 saves and securing two wins in net for the Wolverines last week. Salvadore's top performance of the week came against Immaculata, as she stopped 11 shots and recorded her first career clean sheet. For the week, she posted a save percentage of .895% and a 1.00 goals against average in 180 minutes of work. Read More

Kayla Locklear Christopher Newport Women's Soccer Junior Christopher Newport junior Kayla Locklear received CAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring the game-winning goal against fifth-ranked Trinity (Texas) in double overtime and adding an assist on the game-winning goal in a 6-1 win over Catholic. The Captains opened the year at the Atlantic Orthopaedic Tournament hosted by Virginia Wesleyan. Locklear's game-winner against Trinity came in the 106th minute of play. Read More
