Mary Washington senior forward Allison DiPippa broke a 2-2 tie early in the first overtime period to push the fourth-seeded Eagles past fifth-seeded St. Mary's in Sunday's first round of the 2009 CAC women's soccer playoffs.
Third-seeded York built up a 3-0 lead with 20 minutes remaining in regulation, then had to hold off pesky Wesley to gain a 3-2 win in the other semifinal to move into the semifinals with UMW.
Salisbury and Stevenson, which tied for the regular-season title, will host conference tournament semifinal matches Wednesday.
The top-seeded Sea Gulls (10-3-2) hosts UMW (12-4-3) in one semifinal Wednesday. Salisbury posted a 2-1 overtime triumph over the visiting Eagles during the regular season.
Stevenson (13-3-1), which was seeded second in the tournament because of a 1-0 setback vs. Salisbury in the regular season, will play at home in the semifinals against York. The Mustangs topped the Spartans during the regular season by a 4-1 count.
The 2009 CAC Women's Soccer Championship match is slated for Nov. 7 at the home pitch of the highest-seeded team.
