Junior attacker Emily Norris netted the game-winner with 3:45 left in regulation, advancing No. 14 St. Mary’s College of Maryland to Saturday’s NCAA Division III Women’s Lacrosse Regional Semifinal as the Seahawks posted a 16-15 triumph over Fairleigh Dickinson University, College at Florham Wednesday afternoon in NCAA first round action.

Salisbury Men And Women, Along With St. Mary's Women, Gain NCAA Div. III Lacrosse Championship Bids
The defending NCAA champion Salisbury men's lacrosse team and the 2007 runner-up SU women's lacrosse team, along with 2008 CAC women's lacrosse runner-up St. Mary's College, were selected to compete in this year's respective national championship tournaments Sunday.

Salisbury senior attack Sue Ackermann (Sykesville, Md./Liberty) repeated as the Player of the Year and St. Mary’s freshman midfielder Aileen McCausland (Phoenix, Md./Hereford) became the seventh SMC player to win the Rookie of the Year award on the 2008 All-CAC Women’s Lacrosse team.
