February 3, 2012 Salisbury 6th, Mary Washington 17th In Preseason Division III Women's Lacrosse National Rankings

Defending CAC champion Salisbury is ranked sixth and Mary Washington is 17th in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) 2012 Division III preseason national rankings.

Salisbury finished the 2011 season with a 19-3 overall record, including an 8-0 mark in CAC play.  The Sea Gulls defeated UMW 18-6 in the CAC title game for their ninth-straight CAC crown and 11th in the last 12 years.

Mary Washington is coming off a 13-8 season a year ago, return All-Americans Catherine Kennedy and Allie Kimmelman for 2012.  UMW tied Stevenson for second place in the CAC regular-season standings, each with 6-2 records.
