INTRODUCING … Carol Dye.
Briefly, what is your background in the sport you play? I started playing in elementary school, played throughout high school and was on an AAU team as well. I was captain in high school, and made second team all district. I was “Rookie of the Year” my freshmen year of college.
What is your major in college, and what is the most important thing you learned in that discipline? English- I learned that there is always deeper meaning to something! I also learned how important it is to be a good writer and how much I truly enjoy writing.
What is your favorite spot on campus? Seacobeck Dining Hall- Every meal I eat there is with my teammates. We eat lunch together almost everyday.
Outside of your home and campus, where is your favorite place visit? Siesta Key, Florida- I love the beach. This is the most relaxing place for me. My grandma lives there and I’ve been visiting there since I was born.
Briefly describe the most memorable experience during your collegiate athletic career. When my team was beating Marymount 20-0 at halftime of my freshmen year.
Other than your family members, who was the most influential person in your life? My best friend Natalie Mazzei- She is someone I can always rely on and is the most supportive friend that anyone could ask for.
What is your favorite form of entertainment? I love hanging out with my teammates and friends. I consider them my entertainment.
What is your favorite source of information (TV, book, magazine, website, friends in dining hall, etc.)? For news, The Washington Post. For creativeness, www.pinterest.com. For a good story, any book by Jodi Picoult.
If you could give one piece of advice to elementary school children, what would that advice be? Take advantage of playing outside, riding bikes, and watching cartoons after school. You’ll be buried down with homework before you know it!
Outside of the Capital Athletic Conference, who or what is your favorite sports person or team? The Washington Wizards- I’ve grown up watching them and been to several games. We watch the games as a family, so I think that’s why the team is important to me. Also, my sister, Katie, interned for the Wizards last spring.
Name three (3)

basketball players that I follow.
