Mary Washington Women's Basketball Ranked #1 by D3Hoops.com
FREDERICKSBURG, VA -- The Mary Washington women's
basketball team, who won last season's third-place game in the
NCAA Tournament, find themselves atop the D3hoops.com preseason Top
25 poll.
Mary Washington sits at the head of a large class of teams with No.
1 votes, as eight teams found the top of one or more of our 25
voters' ballots. Besides the Eagles, No. 2 Howard Payne (two), No.
3 Messiah (one), No. 4 Hope (four), No. 5 DePauw (seven) received
No. 1 votes, as well as sixth-ranked Washington U., No. 8 NYU and
No. 14 Brandeis.
