Gallaudet posted a shutout and York rebounded from a first-set loss to gain the victory, allowing both the Bison and Spartans to advance to the semifinal round in the 2009 CAC Volleyball Tournament.

Third-seeded Gallaudet (23-13) blanked visiting sixth-seeded Marymount (18-14) to earn a trip to Fredericksburg, Va., Thursday (11/5) for a semifinal showdown at second-seeded Mary Washington (18-10).

Meanwhile, fourth-seeded York (18-13) battle back from a 1-0 deficit to gain a 3-1 victory over fifth-seeded St. Mary's (18-14), which had played in the CAC title match in each of the past two seasons.  The Spartans will visit top-seeded and two-time defending CAC champion Salisbury (28-4) in Thursday's other semifinal showdown.

Thursday's victors will play for the 2009 CAC title, and an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship Tournament, on Saturday at the home court of the higher-seeded team.
