Salisbury swept a doubleheader at Hood Sunday, 8-0 and 8-2, to clinch the top seed for the 2008 CAC Softball Playoffs, which begin Tuesday.
The Sea Gulls (25-7, 11-1), who won five of six games in doubleheaders against Mary Washington, York and Hood in the last four days, will be the No. 1 seed and gain a bye with York (22-8, 10-2) when the playoffs begin.
Third-place UMW (21-13, 9-3) and fourth-place Hood (15-11, 5-7) will host first-round games on Tuesday. The Eagles will host sixth-seeded Villa Julie (4-10, 3-9) while the Blazers will host fifth-seeded Wesley (6-22, 4-8).
Tuesday's winners will advance to single games Thursday. Salisbury will take on the challenge of the Hood vs. Wesley winner while York will entertain the winner of the UMW vs. VJ contest.
All six teams, four with one loss and two undefeated teams, will advance to the weekend competition at Salisbury to complete the double-elimination tournament.

Game 3: Winner of Game 1 at #1 Salisbury, 4:15 p.m.
Game 4: Winner of Game 2 at #2 York, 4:15 p.m.
