Mary Washington Upsets York, Joins Salisbury In CAC Softball Tournament Winner's Bracket

Third-seeded Mary Washington upset second-seeded York, 5-0, to advance in the winner's bracket with top-seeded Salisbury in the 2008 CAC Softball Championship Tournament.

Salisbury (26-7), the 11-time defending CAC champion, blanked Wesley (7-23) in Thursday's other second-round contest, 6-0 and joins the Eagles (23-13) as the only undefeated teams remaining in the tournament.

York (22-9) and fourth-seeded Hood (15-12) will open Saturday's competition at Salisbury at 10 a.m., followed by a noon clash between Wesley and Villa Julie (10-13).  At 2 p.m., SU and UMW will square off, sending the winner to Sunday's competition in the winner's bracket.
