Duncan Ferrin Salisbury Men's Track & Field Senior Salisbury senior Duncan Ferrin earbed CAC Field Co-Athlete of the Week after setting new CAC and school records in the hammer throw at the Penn Relays. Ferrin delivered a throw of 58.32 meters, breaking the previous CAC record of 58.31 meters set by Catholic's Sean Duggan in 2004. He broke his own SU mark that he set just last week, edging out athletes from Division I programs such as Pennsylvania and Eastern Michigan. Read More

Legend Hayes Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Legend Hayes was named the CAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this year after breaking the school record in the discus and posting the fourth-best mark in Division III at the New Captains Classic on Saturday. Hayes uncorked a 53.42-meter heave, eclipsing the previous CNU record mark of 50.81 meters which was established by current teammate Brendon Burrows. Along with his victorious performance in the discus, Hayes notched the meet's top mark by a Division III competitor in the shot put after posting a 14.41-meter distance. Read More

Cullen Monahan Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Cullen Monahan was selected as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the third time this season after establishing a new CAC record in the 800 meters at the New Captains Classic on Saturday. Monahan won the event in 1:51.13, which shaved half a second off the previous mark of 1:51.63 set by Christopher Newport's Zach Campbell in 2017. Monahan's clocking also ranks second in the NCAA this year and stands as the second-best mark in CNU history. Along with his individual efforts, Monahan helped lead the 4x400-relay to a victory as well. During the event, the foursome finished in 3:17.13. Jeff Dover Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Jeff Dover was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the third week in a row after racing to a school record in the 5000 meters at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday. One week after breaking CNU's 1500 record, he set a new mark in the 5000 after crossing in 14:21.61. That shaved nearly 14 seconds off his previous school record of 14:35.06. It also marked the second-fastest clocking in the nation this year and was just .02 seconds off of the all-time CAC record. Read More

Cameron Yon Penn State Harrisburg Men's Track & Field Junior Penn State Harrisburg junior Cameron Yon claimed CAC Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second straight week after breaking the CAC record in the discus with the top throw in Division III this season. Competing at the Bison Outdoor Classic, Yon registered a mark of 55.83 meters in the discus throw, breaking the previous CAC record of 54.79 meters set by Mary Washington's James Eberhardt in 2005. Jeff Dover Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Jeff Dover was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row after establishing new conference and school records in the 1500 meters at the Colonial Relays on Friday evening. He posted a time of 3:47.81, which placed him fourth in the field and first among Division III competitors. That clocking topped his own program and CAC record of 3:49.71, which he established last year. His time also ranks first in the NCAA this year by over four seconds. Read More

Jeff Gibson Mary Washington Men's Track & Field Sophomore Mary Washington sophomore Jeff Gibson earned CAC Track Athlete of the Week accolades after setting new CAC and school records in the 10,000 meters at the Colonial Relays in Williamsburg. Gibson crossed the finish line in 29:58.42, besting a field made up predominately of Division I and II runners in a 31-runner field. His time broke the CAC record of York's Tim Hartung, set in 2013, by 10 seconds, and crushed UMW's 21-year-old record held by Jon Gates by 50 seconds. Headlining his efforts, he won the discus with a 50.81-meter toss. That established a new benchmark at CNU, breaking the previous standard of 49.74 meters set by teammate Legend Hayes in 2017. It also ranks third in the NCAA this year and first in both the CAC and South / Southeast Region. Burrows also claimed the title in the shot put with a 15.39-meter toss. Ryan Scott Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Ryan Scott earned CAC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this year after posting victories in the 110-hurdles and the 4x100 relay at the Dr. Jack Toms Invitational on Friday at Lynchburg. On an individual level, he won the 110-hurdles in 14.87. That clocking ranks seventh in the NCAA this year. The senior also ran the second leg on CNU's 4x100-relay, which finished first in 42.23. That mark currently stands as the fastest in the CAC and the ninth-best clocking in the country this season. Read More

Davon Guerrier Mary Washington Men's Track & Field Freshman Mary Washington freshman Davon Guerrier was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after winning a pair of hurdle events at the UMW Opener, including the third-fastest 110-meter hurdle time in the nation. Guerrier won the 110 hurdles in 14.8 seconds and the 400 hurdles in 56.85, which ranks 22nd in Division III. Both times are tops in the CAC in the outdoor season. Read More

Ryan Scott Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Ryan Scott collected CAC Track Athlete of the Week accolades after jumping to 16th in the nation in the 200 meters with his performance at the Tufts Final Qualifier on Saturday. Scott posted a time of 22.15, which also marks the fastest time in the CAC and South/Southeast Region this year. Along with his work in the 200, Scott also ran the anchor leg on the squad's 4x400-relay. That foursome eventually finished the race in 3:20.61, which ranks 22nd in the NCAA and first in the conference and region this year. Cullen Monahan Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Cullen Monahan earned CAC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season after registering the fourth-fastest time in the nation in the 800 at the JDL Last Chance Invitational on Sunday. Monahan won the 800 with a time of 1:53.42, which stands as the third-fastest clocking in CNU program history and the fourth-best mark in the NCAA this year. Cullen Monahan Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Cullen Monahan earned CAC Track Athlete of the Week honors after moving to ninth in the nation in the 800 meters after posting a time of 1:53.85 at the Liberty Kickoff on Saturday. That clocking matched the second-fastest time ever registered by a Captain and the best mark since 2011. It also stands just .69 seconds shy of the CAC record set by Thomas Burke in 2015. John Kerns Frostburg State Men's Track & Field Sophomore Frostburg State sophomore John Kerns was selected as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after opening the spring side of the indoor schedule with ECAC qualifying marks in the weight throw. Kerns won the weight throw at the WVU Open with a toss of 16.38 meters, and captured second in the same event at the Orange and Maroon Open hosted by Susquehanna (15.10 meters). His 16.38-meter toss ranks second in the CAC and 37th in Division III. Read More

Grayson Reid Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Senior Christopher Newport senior Grayson Reid was named the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after record-breaking performances at the CNU Holiday Open and an impressive finish in the mile at the Captains Invitational. At the CNU Holiday Open, Reid broke the conference and school record in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:17.49. Later, he returned to the track and established another school record in the 3,000 with an 8:25.50 clocking. His 5,000 time ranks first in Division III while his 3,000 time is second nationally. Eric Halton Salisbury Men's Track & Field Junior Salisbury junior Eric Halton was selected as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after posting the 10th-fastest time in the nation in the 400 meters at the historic Penn Relays. Halton raced to a time of 47.93, which placed him second overall. Halton also helped the 4x400-meter relay team to a first-place finish in their heat at the Penn Relays, coming home in a time of 3:21.51. Read More

Lowery's mark of 18.05 meters broke the previous mark of 17.94 meters set by Salisbury's Brandon Fugett in 2009. Jeff Dover Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Junior Christopher Newport junior Jeff Dover earned CAC Track Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this year after breaking two records at the Colonial Relays over the weekend at William & Mary. On Friday, he established a new CAC record in the 1500 meters, crossing in 3:50.83. His time shaved a full second off the previous CAC mark of 3:51.83, set by Salisbury's George Martinez in 2016. He finished fourth overall and first among DIII competitors in the 1500. It also marked the second-fastest clocking in CNU history and equaled the second-fastest mark in the NCAA this year. On Saturday, Dover returned to the track for another record-setting run as a member of the 4x1500. He helped lead CNU's top foursome to a time of 16:02.20, which beat the previous school record of 16:03.41, which was set last year. Roach placed second overall and first among Division III competitors in the 110-hurdles, clocking in at 15.49. That time ranks 17th in the nation this spring. Matthew Millemann Salisbury Track & Field Sophomore Salisbury sophomore Michael Millemann was honored as the CAC Field Athlete of the Week after securing a victory in the javelin throw at the Lloyd Sigler Meet this past Saturday. Millemann captured the first-place finish after recording a throw of 161'-10", beating the second-place finisher by over 20 feet. Read More

Ryan Scott Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Junior Christopher Newport junior Ryan Scott was selected as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week for the second this year after making his way into the top-10 nationally in the 60-hurdles at the George Mason Last Chance Meet and winning three events at the Roanoke Final Qualifier during a busy week. At George Mason, he posted a personal-best time of 8.13 in the hurdles, which places him seventh in the NCAA this year and ranks as the third-fastest clocking in CNU history. One week later, he captured three titles at Roanoke. During the meet, he won the 60 (6.95), 60-hurdles (8.23), and 200 (22.22) to round out his week. Read More

Adedeji captured victory with a distance of 46'-7.25", besting the previous school mark by 1.25 inches. His mark ranks second in the CAC this season and 13th in Division III. Murch won the event in 8:33.49, which shaved nearly three seconds off the previous CNU standard of 8:36.10 that was established by David Woodson in 2008. Zach Schmelz Salisbury Men's Track & Field Junior Salisbury junior Zach Schmelz was selected as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after notching three top-10 finishes at the Patriot Games. In his first event of the day, the 200-meter dash, Schmelz finished just fractions of a second behind the top three finishers to place fourth in a time of 22.92 seconds. He followed that up with a another fourth-place finish in the 400-meter dash, crossing the finish line in a time of 50.54. His 400 time ranks second in the CAC and 34th in Division III. Wesley Shrieves Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Junior Christopher Newport junior Wesley Shrieves was named the CAC Field Athlete of the Week for the second straight week after breaking his one-week-old CAC mark in the indoor long jump at the Captains Invitational on Saturday. He tacked nearly seven inches onto his old record after winning the event with a 7.25-meter effort. That performance not only broke his old conference record of 7.08 meters, but it also ranks third in the nation this year. Shrieves won the event with a distance of 7.08 meters, establishing a new standard in the CAC. His jump broke the previous mark of 7.05 meters set by teammate Dominique Torres in 2014. Jeff Dover Christopher Newport Men's Track & Field Junior Christopher Newport junior Jeff Dover was honored as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after leading all Division III competitors in both the mile and 3,000 during the CNU Holiday Open on Sunday at the Freeman Center. In the mile, he finished second overall with a time of 4:15.58. In the 3,000, he was also the overall runner-up after crossing in 8:38.40.
