SU's Delannie Springs And UMW's Matt Cash Earn All-America At NCAA Div. III Indoor Track & Field Championships
Mary Washington sophomore Matt Cash and Salisbury sophomore Delannie Springs both earned All-America honors Saturday at the 2008 NCAA Div. III Indoor Track & Field Championships at Ohio Northern University.
Cash finished in eighth place in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:56.68. He earns the 50th All-America honor in track & field in school history.
Springs finished fourth in the 55-meter dash finals with a time of 6.35 seconds as he was just one tenth of second behind national champion Eddie Bynum III from Salem State College. All eight runners in the 55-meter dash finals were named All-Americans. Spriggs becomes the first-ever Sea Gull to become an All-American in Indoor Track and Field.
