Loden And Murata Advance To NCAA Men's Tennis Doubles Flight Sweet 16

University of Mary Washington junior Randy Loden and freshman Kaz Murata advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III national doubles championship on Friday at Bates College in lewiston, Maine.
Loden and Murata defeated Randy Lofgren and Kevin Newman of
Denison College, 7-6 (7), 6-4 in the round of 16.
In singles, Loden defeated fourth seeded Dan Greenberg of Williams
College, 6-2, 6-1 in the round of 32, but then fell to Michael
Greenberg of Kenyon College, 6-4, 6-1, in the round of 16.
Junior John James defeated Dustin Phillips of Texas-Tyler, 1-6,
7-6 (4), 7-6 (4) in the first round, but fell to Charlie Cutler of
Washington University, 6-1, 6-1, in the second round.
Loden and Murata will continue in the doubles quarterfinals on
Saturday at Bates College.
