Patrick Paolini St. Mary's Men's Soccer Junior Paolini made three saves in a scoreless double overtime draw with Penn State Harrisburg before facing all five PKs in the shootout with two sailing over the goal to send St. Mary's into the semifinals. Brad Moore St. Mary's Men's Soccer Junior Moore paced St. Mary's offensively in a 2-0 week with three goals and seven points. Moore started the week with a goal and an assist in a 3-0 shutout of York before notching career-bests of two goals, including his third career game-winner, and four points in a 4-1 win over Penn State Harrisburg. Matt Mackenzie Salisbury Men's Soccer Junior Mackenzie tallied the game-winning goal to lift Salisbury past No. 8 Mary Washington on Saturday with just 2:39 remaining. Mackenzie's marker, which came on a free kick from 25 yards out, was the first of his career, and handed UMW its first loss of the season.  Read More

Patrick Paolini St. Mary's Men's Soccer Junior Paolini registered two shutouts in a 1-0-1 week for St. Mary's. Paolini put up three stops to preserve the 1-0 road win over regionally-ranked Salisbury. He then needed just one save in picking up the scoreless draw at Frostburg State. Paolini now has five shutouts under his belt. He is currently tied for third in the CAC with five shutouts while ranking fifth in both GAA (.92) and save percentage (.796). Read More

Justin Carey Mary Washington Men's Soccer Senior Carey assisted on one score and added the game-winning goal in a 5-1 win at St. Mary's in No. 7 UMW's lone contest of the week. He has scored five goals and added two assists on the season, with two game winners. Mary Washington is ranked seventh in the nation by the United Soccer Coaches Association, their highest ranking since 1997. Read More

Blake Gaetz Frostburg State Men's Soccer Junior Gaetz spearheaded a Frostburg State defense that shut out Christopher Newport and limited the Captains to just five shots on goal in a 1-0 CAC victory on Saturday. Gaetz also contributed on the offensive end, scoring the game's lone goal in the 89th minute of play.  Read More

Billy Bridegum York Men's Soccer Sophomore Bridegum led the Spartans to a 1-0-1 week with a 0.49 goals against average and .938 save percentage. He pitched a shutout in the Spartans' 4-0 win at Marywood on Wednesday evening, recording five saves in 74:20 to earn the win. He saved his best performance for Saturday as he recorded a season-high-tying 10 saves against No. 19 Mary Washington as the Spartans picked up a key draw against the Eagles. He allowed one goal with 15 saves in 184:20 between the pipes.  Read More

Isaac Ekobo St. Mary's Men's Soccer Sophomore Ekobo tallied a team-best five points in a 2-0 week for regionally-ranked St. Mary's. Ekobo started the week with his first multiple-goal performance of his career as he scored twice in a 3-1 road win over Washington Adventist. He then assisted on the team's third goal in a 6-0 shutout of Southern Virginia. Read More

Ethan Hoover Penn State Harrisburg Men's Soccer Senior Hoover tallied four goals and one assist last week, helping the Lions to a 3-0 record and improve to 10-0 overall this season. He scored the game-winner and added an assist against Hartwick. In a 4-0 win at Clarks Summit, Hoover scored the first two goals, before concluding the week with the game's second goal in a 2-0 triumph at Marymount.  Read More

Ken Kurtz Mary Washington Men's Soccer Sophomore Kurtz earned Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after recording a pair of shutouts as No. 17 Mary Washington defeated Catholic and Widener to improve to 7-0-1. He recorded four saves against the Cardinals and two against Widener, and lowered his season goals-against average to 0.25, having allowed two goals through eight games with 29 saves. Read More

Joey Aman Penn State Harrisburg Men's Soccer Sophomore Aman continued his torrid start to the season with four total goals last week in victories over Penn State Berks and Brooklyn College. Aman found the back of the net twice in each contest, including the game-winner vs. Penn State Berks. He now leads the CAC in goals scored this season with nine.  Read More

Trevor Brookhart Salisbury Men's Soccer Senior Brookhart posted a pair of shutuots and totaled eight saves to help the Sea Gulls to a 2-0 week with wins over Washington College and Misericordia. Brookhart and the Sea Gulls have now won six straight games and have recorded five clean sheets on the season. His 1.000 save percentage in the two games last week improved his save percentage to .903 on the season, while he lowered his goals against average to 0.43. Read More

Justin Carey Mary Washington Men's Soccer Senior Carey found the back of the net three times in a 3-0 week for the Eagles, including the overtime game-winner against a nationally-ranked foe. He opened the week with an unassisted tally in the sixth minute of a 4-0 win over Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday, giving the Eagles an early 2-0 edge. He notched a career-best nine stops in a 2-0 shutout win over Bridgewater (Va.), and tallied five stops in a 3-0 shutout victory against Washington College. Stephen Durbin Christopher Newport Men's Soccer Senior Durbin scored three goals and added an assist during the Captains' two victories last weekend at the Joe Pombriant / CNU Soccer Classic. He scored in the first minute against Greensboro and then the first two minutes against Pfeiffer. Durbin factored into all three first-half goals against Pfeiffer, including the game-winning goal.  Read More

Ken Kurtz Mary Washington Men's Soccer Sophomore Kurtz earned pair of victories in net over the weekend, allowing one goal in 160 minutes of action while making seven saves and posting one shutout. He opened the year with four saves in the Eagles' 2-1 victory over North Carolina Wesleyan, before stopping three shots in 69:59 minutes in a 5-0 shutout over Hampden-Sydney.  Read More
