The Salisbury men's soccer team and the St. Mary's women's soccer team were honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for academic success.

The Sea Gull men's team and the Seahawk women's squad are two of 571 teams nationwide that met an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the academic year.

Gerry DiBartolo's Salisbury squad registered a 3.38 GPA during the 2008-09 season while Brianne Weaver's St. Mary's team posted a 3.23 GPA last year.

Of the 571 teams honored, 330 are women's teams and 98 programs were represented on both the men's and women's teams.
