Scott McAneney Christopher Newport Men's Lacrosse Sophomore Christopher Newport sophomore goalkeeper Scott McAneney collected CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after registering 12 saves in a 14-7 victory over Mary Washington in the first round of the CAC Tournament on Saturday. Four of his saves came in the fourth quarter, including three in the final five minutes. He posted a 63.2% save percentage and also compiled three ground balls in his first career postseason victory. Dylan Rice Christopher Newport Men's Lacrosse Freshman Christopher Newport freshman Dylan Rice was tabbed as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after posting a game-high six points with five goals and an assist in the Captains' 14-7 victory over Mary Washington in the first round of the CAC Tournament. Rice connected on five of his seven shots for a shooting percentage of 71.4%. Three of his strikes came in the fourth quarter, including his sixth man-up tally of the year. That equals the single-season freshman record at CNU. Saturday's effort also marked his 10th hat-trick of the season, which also stands as the most by a freshman in program history. Read More

Conner Campbell St. Mary's Men's Lacrosse Senior St. Mary's senior Conner Campbell earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after matching his career-high of seven caused turnovers while also scooping up five ground balls in a 12-5 victory over Wesley in the Seahawks' only game of the week. Campbell currently leads the CAC with 47 caused turnovers. Read More

Tyler Iriondo Christopher Newport Men's Lacrosse Freshman Christopher Newport freshman Tyler Iriondo was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after going a perfect 12-for-12 in his faceoff attempts in the Captains' win over Wesley. His 12 victories marked the most by a Captain in a perfect game effort in program history. They also marked the most by any player in the CAC during a perfect game since Marymount's Vince Lodato went 14-for-14 against Southern Virginia on March 15, 2014. Along with his 12 faceoff victories, Iriondo also secured six ground balls. That total marked the highest single-game total by a CNU freshman since Tony Cruz plucked eight at Mary Washington on April 1, 2015. Read More

Nate Collins Frostburg State Men's Lacrosse Senior Frostburg State senior Nate Collins was selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after tallying six goals and three assists in a 2-0 week, helping the Bobcats push their winning streak to five games. Collins began the week with two goals, one assist and three ground balls in an 11-9 victory over Southern Virginia. With the game knotted at 8-8 in the fourth quarter, Collins found senior Keegan Colegrove for a score at the 6:21 mark and moments later scored an unassisted goal to give the Bobcats the lead for good. In a 12-6 triumph over St. Mary's, Collins notched four goals and two assists on 80% (4-for-5) shooting. He shot 66.7% for the week, with 88.9% of his shots on goal. Read More

Kevin Murphy Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Sophomore Salisbury sophomore Kevin Murphy secured CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying a career-high four caused turnovers and scooping up four ground balls in the Sea Gulls' 20-10 victory over Mary Washington. Murphy and the SU defense limited the Eagles to a season-low 19 shots in the win. Read More

Dillon Hannah York Men's Lacrosse Senior York senior Dillon Hannah was tabbed as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after six goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Spartans. In a 24-3 win over Wesley, Hannah notched a goal and two ground balls in limited playing time. He closed out the week with seven points on a career-high five goals and two assists in a 16-4 victory over Mary Washington. He scored his six goals for the week on just eight shots for a shooting percentage of 75%. He also compiled three ground balls and one caused turnover for the week. For the season, Hannah has 21 points on 16 goals and five assists in his 12 games. Read More

Landry Marshall York Men's Lacrosse Senior York senior Landry Marshall earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting a goals against average of 2.67 and a save percentage of 76.5% in a 2-0 week. Marshall began the week with three saves in 30 minutes of shutout goalkeeping in a victory over Wesley. He capped his week with a win against Mary Washington, registering 10 saves and allowing just four goals. For the year, Marshall has a 5.24 goals against average and a 55.7% save percentage. Marshall is 11-1 as he has started all 12 games for the Spartans and registered 664:39 in net this year. Read More

Matthew Crist Christopher Newport Men's Lacrosse Senior Christopher Newport senior Matthew Crist was selected as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this year after posting six goals and seven assists in a 1-1 week for the Captains. On Wednesday against No. 18 Roanoke, Crist contributed six points, including four goals. His second point of the contest, which came on an assist in the second quarter, marked the 186th of his career. That established a new program record, topping the previous mark of 185 set by Will Geise from 2013-17. On Saturday, he returned to the field with a seven-point effort during a CAC victory over St. Mary's. His five assists against the Seahawks equaled the fifth-highest single-game total in program history, while his seven total points matched the program's 10th-best mark. Read More

Senicola posted a save percentage of 58.8% in 60:42 of work between the pipes in the victory. Read More

Ryan Cook York Men's Lacrosse Senior York senior Ryan Cook was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after tallying a career-high five points with a 100% shooting rate in the second-ranked Spartans' 15-6 win over No. 7 Salisbury on Saturday. Cook's five points came on three golas and a pair of assists. He also picked up a pair of ground balls in the win. Cook opened the scoring with an unassisted tally 3:36 into the second quarter. His next goal tied the game at 4-4 and he drew a two-minute penalty against the Gulls, leading to three man-up goals during the penalty. Cook picked up his first assist on the third goal of the spurt. He dished out his second assist on the man-up goal to start the fourth quarter. He closed out his scoring with a goal midway through the fourth quarter. For the year, Cook has 21 points on seven goals and 14 assists. Read More

Landry Marshall York Men's Lacrosse Senior York senior Landry Marshall earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after registering nine saves and allowing just six goals in a 15-6 win over No. 7 Salisbury in the second-ranked Spartans' lone game of the week. The six goals were Salisbury's lowest offensive output in its last 59 games. Marshall recorded three saves in the opening quarter as he kept the Gulls off the board in the first 15 minutes of play. He added two second quarter saves and concluded the game with four fourth quarter stops. For the season, Marshall is 8-1 with a 5.71 goals against average and a .524 save percentage. Read More

Shawn Lamb Southern Virginia Men's Lacrosse Sophomore Southern Virginia sophomore Shawn Lamb was honored as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after compiling 18 points in a pair of wins for the Knights last week. Lamb began the week with five goals and two assists in a 16-8 triumph over Hendrix. He followed that up with a three-goal, eight-assists outing in an 18-6 victory against Cazenovia. His eight-assist game set a new program record. He also collected five ground balls for the week. He leads the CAC in points (49) and assists (28) this season. Read More

Brandon Warren Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Sophomore Salisbury sophomore goalkeeper Brandon Warren was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week after picking up his third victory in a row, helping the Sea Gulls defeat Eastern Shore rival Washington College in the annual War on the Shore, 7-6 in overtime. Warren notched a career-high 12 saves, including nine in the second half, while posting a save percentage of 66.7% in the victory. Warren owns a save percentage of 62.5% this season, which ranks atop the CAC. Read More

Max Groen St. Mary's Men's Lacrosse Junior St. Mary's junior Max Groen earned CAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after tallying 11 points on eight goals and three assists in a 1-1 week for the Seahawks. Groen notched career-bests of six goals, including a career-high three man-up goals, two assists, and eight points plus a season-best four ground balls in a 15-5 win over Marywood. He totaled two goals and an assist in a 12-10 loss to Randolph-Macon. He finished the week with eight goals on just nine shots for a 88.9% shooting percentage. Read More

Brandon Warren Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Sophomore Salisbury sophomore goalkeeper Brandon Warren was named the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after registering a 4.79 goals against average in a pair of wins last week. Making the first two starts of his collegiate career, Warren totaled a 52.9% save percentage and nine saves in wins over Kenyon and Stevenson. He opened the week by allowing just one goal with three saves in slightly over 40 minutes played against Kenyon. Warren then closed out the week with six saves in a 9-7 victory over 15th-ranked Stevenson. Read More

Matthew Crist Christopher Newport Men's Lacrosse Senior Christopher Newport senior Matthew Crist was named the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after equaling the CNU single-game program record with nine points during a 20-7 victory at Southern Virginia on Saturday. In the Captains' lone contest of the week, Crist scored six goals, which tied the second-most by a Captain in school history, and also contributed three assists. The senior erupted for seven points in the first half to help CNU secure a double-digit lead. Later, he came back with one more goal and assist in the second half to lock up the victory. Read More

Patrick Ruleman Marymount Men's Lacrosse Junior Marymount junior Patrick Ruleman was honored as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Saints to a 11-6 victory over St. Vincent with a career-high 14 saves. He and the Saints defense blanked the Bearcats in the second half of the win. Ruleman also played the second half against Catholic, making four saves in his 30 minutes of work for a total of 18 on the week. He posted a 6.67 goals against average and 64.3% save percentage in 90 minutes of action between the pipes. Read More

Garff found the back of the net on 10 of his 16 shots for a shooting % of 62.5%, which leads all CAC scorers with five or more goals so far this season. He opened his career with four goals and two ground balls in a 20-12 win over Ferrum, before tallying six goals and one assist in a 24-20 triumph over Pfeiffer. Read More

Kyle Tucker Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Senior Salisbury senior Kyle Tucker secured CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting a conference-leading 11 caused turnovers along with 17 ground balls in a trio of wins for the Sea Gulls. Tucker's top performance came in the Sea Gulls' win over Widener last Saturday, registering a season-high six caused turnovers and seven ground balls. Tucker has helped the Salisbury defensive unit to a 7.33 goals against average and caused turnover average of 15 per game as well. Read More

Miles Davis Mary Washington Men's Lacrosse Senior Mary Washington senior Miles Davis nabbed CAC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Eagles' attack with three goals and seven assists in a 2-0 week, helping UMW clinch the No. 4 seed in the CAC Tournament. Davis opened the week with one goal and two assists in a 9-7 win over Frostburg State, with both assists coming on key fourth-quarter scores. In the regular season finale vs. Marymount, he added two goals and five assists in a 15-10 victory. Read More

He stopped 11 shots in a 9-7 win at Frostburg State on Wednesday, allowing seven goals. On Saturday, he made four saves in 30 minutes as UMW topped Marymount, 15-10, allowing one goal. Read More

Blondino started off with a four-goal, four-assist game against Christopher Newport before posting a two-goal, five-assist performance against Frostburg State. Colin Reymann Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Senior Salisbury senior Colin Reymann was named CAC Defensive Player of the Week after allowing just 14 goals during key CAC wins over Christopher Newport and Frostburg State last week. Reymann stopped 62.5% of the shots fired his way, recorded 20 saves, and a 6.40 goals againt average in the pair of victories. The highlight of Reymann's week came throughout the first half against Christopher Newport, as he stopped 10 shots and allowed just one goal in the opening stanza of that contest. Read More

Nathan Blondino Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Senior Salisbury senior Nathan Blondino earned CAC Offensive Player of the Week accolades after exploding for 19 points off eight goals and 11 assists in a 2-0 week for the Sea Gulls. Blondino opened the week with a career-high 12-point game against Wesley, totaling five goals and seven assists. He followed that up with a three-goal, four-assist performance against St. Mary's. His eight goals came on just 13 shots (61.5% shooting) and he also chipped in five groundballs and three caused turnovers for the week. Read More

In wins over St. Mary's and Marymount, he combined for a 4.16 goals against average and a 68.2 save percentage with a total of 15 saves. Against St. Mary's, he allowed three goals while making seven saves in 53:45 of work between the pipes. He followed that up with eight saves and four goals against in 47:10 of game time in the win over Marymount. Read More

He managed at least four points in each game, opening the week with a two-goal, two-assist performance against Marymount. He followed that with a seven-goal outing against Southern Virginia, before concluding the week with four goals and an assist vs. Roanoke. Garbarino's 13 goals came on just 19 shots, good for a 68.4 shooting percentage. Read More

Landry Marshall York Men's Lacrosse Junior York junior Landry Marshall was tabbed as CAC Defensive Player of the Week after posting a 70.7 save percentage and 6.00 goals against average in a 2-0 CAC week for the Spartans. Marshall began the week with a 16-save performance in a tight 6-5 win over Frostburg State in the Spartans' CAC opener on Wednesday. The 16 saves were just one short of his career high set in the game against Lynchburg in early March. He followed that with 13 saves in the Spartans' 13-7 road win at Mary Washington. For the week, Marshall played all 120 minutes in goal, recording 29 saves and allowing 12 goals in the two Spartan wins. Read More

Will Geise Christopher Newport Men's Lacrosse Senior Christopher Newport senior Will Geise received CAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second straight week after posting 10 goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Captains. On Wednesday, he erupted for eight points, including six goals, during a 19-7 win over Wheaton (Mass.). His six goals not only equaled the second-highest single-game total in program history, but they also bumped his career total to 90 - breaking the CNU all-time program record of 86. Andrew Ternahan Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Senior Salisbury senior Andrew Ternahan earned CAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this year after accounting for eight ground balls and five caused turnovers in a 17-5 win over Mary Washington. Ternahan and the Salisbury defense held the Eagles to just nine shots on goal and 19 total shots throughout the contest. Tenahan was also a part of the man-down unit that went 100% for the weekend. Will Geise Christopher Newport Men's Lacrosse Senior Christopher Newport senior Will Geise received CAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week accolades after totaling nine points in the Captains' 13-8 victory over Messiah. Geise equaled the CNU single-game program record of nine points after notching six goals and three assists in the win. His six goals also tied the second-highest single-game total in CNU history. During the first half, Geise scored the team's first five goals and assisted on the next two as the Captains eventually built an 8-3 halftime lead. In the second half, Geise came back with another goal and assist in the first five minutes of the third quarter to cap off his historic effort. Read More

Billy Sasso York Men's Lacrosse Sophomore York sophomore Billy Sasso was honored as the CAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after winning 83.3% (30-of-36) of face-offs last week in wins over No. 10 Gettysburg and Haverford. Sasso began the week by going 19-for-24 at the X with a game-high nine ground balls in a 16-8 win over the Bullets. Sasso's work at the X enabled York to fire off 46 shots in the game as they were plus 19 vs. the Bullets. In the win over Haverford, Sasso went 11-for-12 at the X, playing in just the first half in the lopsided win over the Fords. Sasso also scored a goal off a face-off win for his second goal of the year. For the year, Sasso is winning 70.5% (93-for-132) of his face-offs and also leads York with 51 ground balls. Read More

Kyle Tucker Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Junior Salisbury junior Kyle Tucker was tabbed as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Salisbury defense to a convincing 14-1 victory over Washington College on Saturday. Tucker tallied seven ground balls and four caused turnovers in the win. The Sea Gulls allowed just three shots on cage and did not concede a goal until the waning minutes of the fourth quarter. Washington College entered the contest with a 5-0 record and averaging 11.8 goals per game. Read More

Matt Hayden Christopher Newport Men's Lacrosse Senior Christopher Newport senior Matt Hayden was selected as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after allowing just two goals during his time between in the pipes in wins over Virginia Wesleyan and Guilford. On Wednesday, he came through with his fourth consecutive double-digit save effort after notching 11 stops in 42 minutes of work against the Marlins. He allowed only two goals before exiting in the third quarter. Three days later, he was flawless in a victory over Guilford, making five stops not allowing a single goal during the first three quarters of the game before leaving with a comfortable advantage. He also caused two turnovers and collected three ground balls during his 45 minutes of work against the Quakers. For the week, Hayden posted a 88.9% save percentage and 1.37 goals against average. Lamb notched two goals and two assists in an 11-10 overtime victory over Bridgewater (Va.), including the game-winning goal in overtime. James Cella Wesley Men's Lacrosse Freshman Wesley freshman James Cella was honored as the CAC Defensive Player of the Week after securing a pair of wins in goal in a 2-0 week for the Wolverines. Cella posted a save percentage of 58.1% in victories over Rosemont and Immaculata, totaling 25 saves on the week, including 20 stops against Immaculata. He registered a goals against average of 8.70. Brendan McGrath York Men's Lacrosse Sophomore York sophomore Brendan McGrath was honored as the CAC Offensive Player of the Week after totaling 12 goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the fifth-ranked Spartans. McGrath opened the week with seven points on five goals and two assists in the Spartans' victory over Elizabethtown. He then recorded a career day in a win over Aurora, tallying a school-record-tying seven goals. For the year, McGrath leads the CAC in scoring with 23 points and a conference-best 17 goals. Read More

Kalama notched at least three points in each game in wins over Methodist, Lynchburg, and Montclair State, and registered two game-winning goals. In the Spartans' 12-11 season-opening win over Washington & Lee, Pfeiffer recorded three goals and two assists, including an assist on Hunter Davis' game-winner with 1:11 left in regulation. Andrew Ternahan Salisbury Men's Lacrosse Senior Salisbury senior Andrew Ternahan picked up CAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades after totaling 15 ground balls and six caused turnovers in the Sea Gulls' 3-0 start to the season. Ternahan has helped the SU defense hold its opponents to just 5.67 goals per contest. The Sea Gulls defense is also clearing at a 98% clip (56-for-57) to begin the year. Read More
