was recently named the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches
Association (IMLCA) Division III Outstanding Assistant Coach of the
Year.
Dobbins has been on Coach Jim Berkman's staff the past four seasons
where the Sea Gulls have won three national championships and
compiled an 83-1 record. Dobbins is in charge of coaching the
midfield, man-up offense and runs the box on game day.
The Sea Gulls recorded a NCAA record 23-0 season in 2007
en route to the program's seventh national championship. One of
Dobbins' midfielders, Kylor Berkman, was selected as the 2007 NCAA
Division III Midfielder of the Year.
Dobbins is currently an upper school math teacher at The Salisbury
School. The Rochester, N.Y., native is a Colgate University
graduate (Class of 2001). He was a four-year men's lacrosse
letterwinner for the Red Raiders.
Before coming to Salisbury he was an assistant coach at Webster

The IMLCA selected one assistant coach from each division to earn
this honor. The two other recipients are Cornell's Ben DeLuca
(Division I) and New York Institute of Technology's Billy Dunn
(Division II).
