Titus, Hickey And Berkman Combine For 17 Points In Salisbury's 15-7 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Quarterfinal Round Win Over Cabrini

Greg Titus and Matt Hickman each contributed six points while Kylor Berkman added five points to lead top-seeded Salisbury (20-0) to a 15-7 victory over sixth-ranked Cabrini (17-3) Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the 2008 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship Tournament.
SU will face Gettysburg in one national semifinal match Sunday while Ithaca and Cortland State renew its Upstate New York rivalry in the other semifinal contest. Gettysburg advanced Wednesday with a 12-5 triumph over Centennial Conference rival Washington (Md.). Cortland State posted an 11-10 overtime triumph over Middlebury and Ithaca edged Western New England, 13-12, in the other half of the bracket.
Titus scored three of his game-high five goals in the second quarter as the defending national champion Sea Gulls pulled away for an 8-2 halftime lead. Titus also chipped in a third-period assist for six points.
Hickman scored both of SU's goals in the third quarter as the Sea Gulls held off a Cabrini challenge to take a 10-6 lead in to the final frame. SU then outpointed the visitors 5-1 over the final 15 minutes, ignited by Hickman's fourth goal of the game, to advance to the national semifinals. Hickman also had two assists to share game-high scoring honors with Titus.
Berkman dished out a game-high three assists and finished with five points while Mike Von Kamecke contributed four points on two goals and two helpers.
