FROSTBURG, Md. – From the men's soccer Kick Off Tournament on Aug. 31 to the women's softball ECAC first round win over Catholic on May 9, the Frostburg State University department of athletics is proud to relive some of the most exciting and thrilling home events from the 2012-2013 athletic year.

FROSTBURG, Md. – For the second-consecutive year, Frostburg State softball standout Caitlin Lovend has been honored by the College Sports Information Director of America (CoSIDA) as a Capital One Academic All-American.

FROSTBURG, Md. – D3baseball.com released its 2013 All-South Region teams on Thursday and Frostburg State had a trio of players selected. Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year Kevin Kean grabbed first team all-region honors, while Dylan Shupe was named to the second team and J.K. Filauro was placed on the team third team.

University of Mary Washington sophomore Lindsay Raulston gained All-America honors in singles as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Wednesday. Raulston becomes UMW's first singles All-American since Becky Morse-Karzen in 2009.

LYNCHBURG, VA – Catherine Kennedy, a midfielder from the University of Mary Washington, was voted the 2012 All-State College Division Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year, as voted on by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).  Kennedy's coach, Dana Hall, was named the All-State Coach of the Year and Darragh Evarts from Roanoke College earned Rookie of the Year honors.

University of Mary Washington freshmen Evan Charles and Donato Rizzolo won a three-set decision over Mark Bloom and Patrick lipscomb of the University of Redlands in the national quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III national doubles championship on Friday in Cary, N.C. The Eagles won by a score of 3-6, 7-5, 6-2, avenging a regular season loss to the Redlands duo.

With 10 national championships and 428 wins to his name, Head Coach Jim Berkman of the Salisbury University men?s lacrosse team has been considered by many to be a Hall of Fame-caliber coach; that accolade will become official on Oct. 26, as Berkman will be included in a class of eight that will be inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
