Air Force Veteran Frank Rivera is NJCU Men's Golf Captain

As fall turns to winter and golf courses all across New Jersey transition to the offseason, one golfer's unlikely path from the United States Air Force to the collegiate links and team leadership is nearing the 18th green. Frank Rivera, who will turn 30 on November 25, and graduate this winter with a degree in Applied Physics, is the most visible military veteran to have competed for the Gothic Knights in recent years. But responsibility is nothing new to the captain of the 2014-15 NJCU men's golf team, an eight-year military man, husband and father of two.
Mary Washington to Add Men's Golf as Varsity Sport in 2016-17; Rod Wood Named Head Coach

The University of Mary Washington will add men’s golf as a varsity athletic program beginning fall, 2016. The school will spend the next year and a half recruiting talented student-athletes and planning for the first tee shot in August 2016. The program will be immediately eligible for CAC and NCAA championships.

Penn State Harrisburg freshman golfer Keith Miller captured his first collegiate golf tournament win on Monday at the Muhlenberg Invitational in a field of 113 golfers. Miller fired a two-over 72 at Lehigh Country Club.
