York Falls At F&M In Opening Round Of NCAA Men's Hoop Tournament; Gamber's Career Ends With 493 Victories

Franklin & Marshall All-America candidate Georgio Milligan threw in a game-high 22 points and added nine rebounds and six assists as the Diplomats topped CAC Champion York, 72-50, in the opening round of the 2012 NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.

Senior forward Paul Kouvaris knocked down 16 scores and grabbed seven rebounds, both team highs for the Spartans (18-11).  Junior point guard Julian Watson added eight points for YCP, which was outrebounded 42-31 and shot just 35.6% from the field (21-59).

The loss was the last in the brilliant career of York head coach and former Director of Athletics Jeff Gamber, who compiled 493 wins during the last 37 years directing the Spartans.
