October 30, 2009 Salisbury's Beverly Beladino, Lauren Correll And York's Claire Rekitzke Selected For 2009 NFHCA All-Star Game

Salisbury's Beverly Beladino, Lauren Correll and York's Claire Rekitzke were selected for the 2009 National Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game.

The game will be played on Sunday, Nov. 22 at Mount Holyoke College at 9:30 a.m.

Beladino has put together another strong season for the Gulls, as she has 26 points on 10 goals and six assists. For her career Beladino has 99 points on 41 goals and 17 assists. Her best season was in 2007, when she scored 16 goals and dished out three assists and was named to the All-Region First Team.

Correll, a two-time All-American, is having another successful season for SU, as she leads the team with 43 points on 18 goals and seven assists. For her career, Correll has 173 points on 76 goals and 21 assists. Her best season was her first in '06, when she collected 47 points on 19 goals and nine assists.

Rekitzke, a goalie at York, has started al 20 games for the Spartans this season, registering a 1.68 goals against average and a .781 save percentage.  She led the Spartans to a 13-7 overall record and a tie for second place in the CAC standings with a 4-2 mark.  YCP will open the CAC playoffs Sunday as the No. 3 seed and will host Stevenson at 1 p.m.
