Salisbury's Mike Celenza Named Div. III South Region Position Player Of The Year
The awards continue to pour in for Salisbury University junior first baseman Mike Celenza as he was recently named the Division III National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) South Region Position Player of the Year. This is the first time in program history that a Sea Gull baseball player has been awarded this distinguished honor by the NCBWA.

Mary Washington's Will Wright Captures NCAA Statistical Championship for Toughest to Strike Out
University of Mary Washington junior left fielder WILL WRIGHT (St. Louis, Mo./St. Louis Priory) has captured the NCAA Division III statistical championship as the toughest player in all of Division III to strike out in 2009. Wright, a three-year starter, struck out just once in 110 at bats this season, or .909 percent of his at bats.

Capital Athletic Conference Boasts 921 Student-Athletes On The 2008-09 All-Academic Team
The Capital Athletic Conference announced that 921 student-athletes from the nine full-member institutions competing in 19 championship sports were named to the 2008-09 All-Academic Team. It’s the third-straight year the CAC totaled at least 900 on the All-Academic Team.
