Frostburg State senior baseball player John Barrett has been tabbed as the Eastern College Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week after hitting .500 in the Bobcats' four wins last week. 

Barrett went 7-for-14 last week, doing most of the damage in a Capital Athletic Conference sweep of St. Mary's (Md.). Against the Seahawks, Barrett hit .636 (7-for-11) with a home run, nine RBIs, eight runs scored, three doubles and a triple.  Barrett's homer in game three was part of a late seven-run rally that sparked Frostburg's 10-7 victory.

Barrett leads the Bobcats in RBIs with 34 and triples with five and is currently hitting .307 (31-for-101) on the season.
