Wesley juniors RUDY THOMAS (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Tech) and  ANGIE OWENS (Seaford, Del./Seaford) were selected as the first CAC Basketball Players of the Week for the 2009-10 season.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Wesley junior guard RUDY THOMAS (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Tech) was named first CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week of the 2009-10 season after registering a career-high 29 points in the Wolverines' season-opening win over North Carolina Wesleyan. Thomas, who had four three-point goals, three rebounds and three steals in the 17-point win, was also credited with a career-high seven assists.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Wesley junior forward ANGIE OWENS (Seaford, Del./Seaford) was named the first CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the 2009-10 season after scoring 16 points and grabbing 19 rebounds in the Wolverines' season-opening come-from-behind victory at Catholic. Owens, who also contributed a blocked shot and a pair of three-point shots, totaled 10 points and 12 boards in the second half after Wesley trailed at halftime but rallied for a 15-point win.
