Gallaudet Will Host Cheerleading Competition Among CAC Programs

Gallaudet University will host the 2009 CAC Cheerleading Competition on February 21, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the Gallaudet Field House.

The competition is open to all schools in the CAC, and five schools have committed to participate with the host Bison, including Hood, Marymount, Mary Washington, Stevenson and York.  Several other schools are considering the opportunity to participate.

The competition will provide an opportunity for everyone to see all the CAC cheerleaders perform at the same time and in one place.  The competition will be judged, and there will also be performances by other area cheerleaders.

Other schools, including local Division I programs, have also been invited to perform and give demonstrations.

Admission to the competition is $5 for ages 16 and over, and $1 for under 16. For more information, contact Gallaudet cheerleading coach Wendy Wiatrowski at Wendy.Wiatrowski@gallaudet.edu.
