Gallaudet's Tony Tatum And Marymount's Kathryn Wilson Named CAC Basketball Players Of The Week

Gallaudet freshman guard TONY TATUM (Birmingham, Ala./Huffman) and Marymount senior guard KATHRYN WILSON (Richmond, Va./St. Gertrude) were selected as the CAC Basketball Players of the Week for Dec. 22, 2008.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Gallaudet freshman guard TONY TATUM (Birmingham, Ala./Huffman) was named CAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week after scoring a team-high 18 points and helping to keep the Bison undefeated in non-conference play this season (5-0) with a 103-74 victory at Johnson Bible in Knoxville, Tenn. Tatum drained 8-of-11 field goal attempts, including 2-of-3 long-range shots, and added four rebounds, three assists and three steals for GU.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Marymount senior guard KATHRYN WILSON (Richmond, Va./St. Gertrude) was named the CAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week after scoring 31 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, two steals and dishing out six assists in a pair of tournament games in Florida. Wilson's best game was a 19-point performances, which was a game and season-high total, with four boards and five assists in the a six-point setback against 9th-ranked Simpson College. She has reached double-digits in all eight MU games this season.
