FIELD HOCKEY

Wesley sophomore forward BROOKE TADLOCK (Middletown, Del./Middletown) was named the CAC Field Hockey Player of the Week after scoring four goals in two days, including a hat trick in a CAC victory at Hood, then adding the game-winning goal in a 3-2 non-conference decision at Randolph-Macon. Tadlock moved into 10th place on Wesley's career scoring list with 48 points and eighth on the career goals list with 22.

MEN'S SOCCER

Mary Washington senior forward DARIEN RUGGLES (Manassas, Va./Gar-Field) and Wesley sophomore midfielder MATT NIMMERICHTER (Middletown, Del./Middletown) were named the CAC Men's Soccer Co-Players of the Week.

Ruggles contributed his second goal of the season and added an assist in a victory at Stevenson, then tallied UMW's lone score in a draw against Wesley that kept the Eagles undefeated in CAC play.

Nimmerichter's first two career goals were the equalizer and the game-winner, just 1:40 apart in the second half, as the Wolverines erased a two-goal deficit against 18th-ranked Salisbury to gain a 3-2 decision. Nimmerichter was also strong in Saturday's draw vs. Mary Washington, keeping WC in a tie for third place in the CAC standings.

Hood freshman defender JESSICA DEVINE (Elkton, Md./Elkton) was named the CAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week after scoring three goals and assisting on another as the Blazers went 2-0-1 in the week and extended their unbeaten streak to seven matches (6-0-1). Devine started the week with a goal in each half of a 2-2 tie vs. Goucher. She followed that by scoring the first goal in a 2-0 win over Shenandoah. Saturday, Devine assisted on the game-tying score in what proved to be a 3-1 win over Washington. For the season, she's fourth on the team with 15 points (7 G, 1 A).
