Two-Sport Coach Tracey Short Named Senior Women's Administrator At Wesley
Longtime Wesley College field hockey and softball coach Tracey Short has added another title, as she will now fill the role of Senior Women's Administrator for Wolverine Athletics, Executive Director of Sports & Recreation Mike Drass announced.
Short will assume the duties effective immediately, replacing Elise Coar. Coar will now focus solely on coaching the women's tennis team at Wesley.
"We are very excited to have Tracey fill this position," Drass noted. "She brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to a very important role."
Short has been the head coach of the Wesley field hockey team since 1995 and has posted 11 consecutive years of at least 11 wins. She has also led the Wolverines on the softball diamond since 1997, winning 185 games. Between the two posts, Coach Short has won 357 total games.
Short's 2007 field hockey team went 12-5 overall and posted a 4-2 mark in its first year in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC). The Wolverines' 2008 softball schedule opens on March 1 during the team's spring break trip to Florida.
