Recent University of Mary Washington graduate Caitlin Erickson (Cypress, Texas/Cy-Fair) is featured in the August 4 issue of Sports Illustrated magazine in the "Faces in the Crowd" segment.

Erickson, the all-time leading women's lacrosse scorer in school history, led the nation in assists per game and points per game this season, breaking the NCAA Division III record for points per game with 7.94 PPG.

Erickson is the second UMW athlete to be featured in Sports Illustrated, following field hockey great Jessica Morris, who appeared in the magazine on December 24, 2001.
